ClubCorp Charity Classic Online National Auction Now Open for Bidding

South Africa Getaway, Las Vegas Trip, Disney World Vacation, Dining at Fogo de Chao Among Top Auction Items

DALLAS - ClubCorp, The World Leader in Private Clubs, announces that its ClubCorp Charity Classic Online National Auction is open for bidding through Oct. 19, 2011, and features a variety of exciting auction items that include getaways to South Africa (a Ker & Downey Splendors of South Africa 12-night journey for two), Las Vegas (a two-night stay in a suite at The Signature at MGM Grand), and Disney World (a four-day/three night package for up to four people); dining experiences, art, golf and sports gear, tickets and more.

Other getaway destinations include Aspen, Colorado; California’s Napa Valley and Marina del Rey; New Orleans; Kiawah Island in South Carolina and Kapula on the island of Maui.

The Online Auction is just one component of the ClubCorp Charity Classic, the company’s nationwide major philanthropic open-house event during which more than 130 golf and country clubs and business and sports clubs around the country open their courses and dining rooms from May through Oct. 31, 2011, to an estimated 16,000 members, guests, and patrons for tournaments, dining events, auctions, and social extravaganzas throughout the country.

Since its inception in 2007, ClubCorp’s Charity Classic has raised nearly $6.5 million benefiting charities including MDA’s Augie’s Quest, the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
